The Lord of the Rings is the novel of English novelist J. R. R. Tolkien. Author start to write the novel in 1937 and finishes his writing in 1949. It is a Fantasy Epic novel got much fame just after the publication. It had sold more than 150 million copies all over the world and it considered as the 2nd best-selling novel in history. This was published by George Allen & Unwin (United Kingdom) publisher.
July 29, 1954, November 11, 1954 and October 20, 1955 are different publishing dates of the novel. Because different stages published during different time.
It was published in 3 volumes: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, The Return of the King. The story of this novel start as the continuation of the previous work of Tolkien, that was a fantasy novel names as “The Hobbit”. Writer continue the story of his previous novel due to lot of appreciation and on great demand of readers. This story took large time to complete because great creations always require time.
Story based on a RING. Frodo Baggins is the main character of this story. This ring was not usual. Young Frodo receives a golden Ring. Dark Lord Sauron was the creator of the ring and he created it when he was young. This ring has a magical power so it also called as power ring. By using this ring could overcome and won the war. Frodo Baggins was selected for “The Lord of Rings”, he faces many problems after receiving this ring. So, due to all these problems he wanted to get rid of all but he could not do this.
Many people fight to get this ring because they also wanted to do some horrible things by using this ring. Many people got this ring but all people left it due to its power. Frodo was the only person in this tale who never wanted this ring in his life.
